Please Note: In Virginia, there’s a 4.64% Motor Vehicle Sales and Use Tax applied to the vehicle’s purchase price. This tax is required at the time of titling and is based on the sale amount or the vehicle’s fair market value, whichever is higher. It’s an important cost to keep in mind when budgeting for your new ride.
This would also be a good time to make sure that you have all the documentation you'll need before proceeding.
